This is really quite simple. Most editors will make this quite simple as well. The most important thing to remember is that to create another link to an outside site, you must include the http:// prefix or the browser will look for the site in your directory and will of course not find it.

Where the text: http://www.website.com/pages/ are the desired site URL, and text: LINK TEXT show the text to click.
How can I make files downloadable from my site?
This is done exactly as above. But instead of using the web address you use the address that points directly to your file name.
For instance: If your file that you wish to have downloaded is named goods and it is an PDF file (.pdf), then you would use this code:
Where the text: http://www.yoursite.com/goods.pdf are the file where you uploaded, and text: LINK TEXT show the text link for download.
